I plan on posting some pics of what we've been up to soon, but that may be another day or so. I guess he's right...sort of

Overheard from my grocery cart in Sam's Club last night...
"I a boy, Mommy a girl, Daddy a Jeff."
I wonder what that means.

Memory Tag

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.
It'll be fun! I tag all of y'all!

What does that spell?

Max likes letters and spelling. Even as a tiny baby I could spell his name and it would make him giggle. Strange, I know. Well now that he is getting older, he likes to spell things too. He can spell his name and a few weeks ago he started spelling Mommy too. (I know he's just repeating what I'm saying and doesn't understand the phonics yet, but that's not the point.) Anyway, Jeff was a little jealous that I taught him to spell Mommy and not Daddy, so I tried to even things out. It didn't quite turn out the way Jeff expected.
If you ask him to spell, Max will say "M-A-X-W-E-L-L Maxwell, M-O-M-M-M-Y Mommy, D-O-D-O Daddy!" I promise I didn't teach him that; you can't make this stuff up!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary

Saturday was a big day around our house. It was Jeff and my 5th anniversary and Max's 2nd birthday. That's right, for those of you who don't know, Max was born on my wedding anniversary. That makes it easy for us to remember both days, but it makes it a little hard to decide how to celebrate. This year we decided to celebrate our anniversary/birthday at Chuck E. Cheese!! We each got to invite a friend and we spent the evening eating gross pizza, playing skeeball, and trying not to lose the children in the crowd. We had a really good time and there was no clean up for me!!! When my folks get here next week, we are going to have a real party for Max and then Jeff and I are going to attempt a weekend getaway, so more fun is ahead.
So to my boys...July 12th has turned out to be a pretty lucky day for me. I couldn't ask for a better little family. You guys are great and I love you both more than I thought I could. I can't wait to spend the rest of forever with you and I'm excited to add one more boy to the bunch. Love you guys!!

The Cow Says Slurp!?!

Thanks to Cousin Steve, Max got to spend the morning on a real dairy farm. He thought it was one of the greatest places ever...Mommy thought it smelled REALLY bad. There was no doubt that this kid loves to be outside, playing in the dirt and grass and whatever else there was. He's still talking about it more than a week later. Mommy, on the other hand, got licked by a cow EWWWWW!! and doesn't really need to go back there again.

Max was not the least bit afraid of feeding the cows and thought it was funny when he got licked.

Thanks Steve and Eileen for showing Max such a good time. He'll be back one day I'm sure!

Willow Park

Because we were all together, Grandma decided it would be the perfect time for some family photos to be taken. So she got a photographer lined up and we all got dressed up and headed to Willow Park for the day. For those of you unfamiliar with Willow Park, it's a huge park with lots of playgrounds, skate parks, trees, tracks, swimming, golf course, a mini zoo, and a bunch of other stuff. It's really pretty nice. Evidently Utah is full of places like this. So here are some candid shots taken while the "real"pictures were being done.

Family Vacation

We are back and recovered from our summer family vacation. We had a great time and it was so fun to have everyone together again. I'm pretty sure that Grandma Louise was happy to have all her kids and grandkids together again. Here are some pictures of what we seemed to do the most...watch the kids play in the yard!
